THE THEORETICAL BASIS OF A STRATEGY FOR INSTITUTIONAL TRANSFORMATION OF INDUSTRIAL COMPLEXES IN A DIGITAL ECONOMY

Subject and goals. The article solves the problem of theoretical support of aspects of strategic transformation of industry in the conditions of formation and dynamic development of the digital environment.
Methods. The methods of ontological, structural, system, classification, logical and scenario analysis are used to form the theoretical basis and categorical apparatus of the strategy of changes of industrial enterprises in the digital economy.
Results. The article defines the essence and content of institutional transformations of industrial complexes; aspects and basic elements of the necessary transformations are considered, classification of their types and forms is offered. The scenario logical sequence of institutional transformations of industrial structures is described. The concept of «digital economy» is formulated and approaches to strategy definition are investigated. The essence and content of the strategy of institutional transformation of industrial complexes in the digital economy are dedicated.
Conclusions. The proposed theoretical basis clarifies and develops the categorical apparatus, as well as other theoretical and methodological aspects of the strategic transformation of industrial enterprises, taking into account the characteristics of the digital environment formed under the influence of the dynamic development of new technologies, competencies and innovations.
